Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps

This recipe for Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps makes around 4 servings.

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup veg stock
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 4 tbsp sriracha
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (or more hoisin)
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • ginger paste

Other

  • 2 lb ground chicken
  • 1 chopped onion
  • sesame oil
  • sesame seeds
  • green onions
  • cornstarch
  • lettuce
  • white rice

Optional

  • mushrooms
  • carrots
  • bok choy
  • cabbage
  • etc.

Directions

  • Start the white rice in rice cooker
  • Add sesame oil to pan, when hot add chopped onion, garlic & ginger, then saute til soft
  • Add chicken and cook evenly (not fully cooked)
  • While chicken is cooking, mix all ingredients for the sauce
  • Add sauce and veggies once chicken is done cooking
  • Lower pan to a simmer, add a cornstarch & water mixture to thicken the sauce.
  • Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds
  • Serve with romaine or iceberg lettuce
